“The EURO conversion process together with integration on payment system TARGET2 was the core priorities of Slovak State Treasury last year. We designed and developed key modules of this system and we have ensured its improvement few years yet. Therefore, we did not have any problem with realization of extensive changes concerned with the new currency and State Treasury involvement to the European payment system” said Rastislav Cisár, QBSW project manager. "Although Euro Transmission was certainly complex and difficult project, the whole conversion ran over without troubles also thanks to long-term experiences with application running and system support services providing which are realized by QBSW as one of the most active system suppliers. In addition, responsible and active approach of the customer importantly supported clear process overrun,” he mentioned.
The EURO conversion of State Treasury Information System was successfully finished on 1st of January 2009 at 12:30 pm. “State Treasury put down first payments to accounts of its clients through payment system TARGET2 on January 2nd, 2009”, informed State Treasury spokeswoman Martina Hujova.
State Treasury Information System was launched in 2004. The system ensures secure and transparent realization of account maintenance and payment system with profitable conditions for all organizations connected with state and public budget. It created the direct connection between actual budget and planned expenditures. Therefore, the system has helped to improve a realization control of budgeting.
